1) Download Insta360 Studio

2) Import & Edit
Open Insta360 Studio! If you’re using an Insta360 camera, simply drag and drop your .insv files. If you have 360 footage from another camera, don't worry - Insta360 Studio supports standard equirectangular formats too.

Once imported, you can click and drag to preview the sphere. Use the timeline to trim your clip! In the world of 360-degree video, the "Start" and "Stop" moments are often the most awkward. Because the lenses capture everything, the first few seconds of your footage usually feature a giant, distorted hand reaching for the shutter button or your face leaning in uncomfortably close to the camera.
Since a 360 camera sees 180° on each side, it is almost impossible to start a recording without being "in the shot." By using the drag-and-trim handles on the timeline, you can instantly shave off those messy opening and closing seconds. This ensures your video starts exactly when the action begins and ends before you reach out to turn the camera off, maintaining the "invisible camera" illusion.
The timeline allows you to scrub through your footage with frame-by-frame precision. You can find the exact second where your hand leaves the frame, ensuring a clean, professional entry into the scene. A trimmed clip looks like it was shot by a professional operator.

Because 360 cameras capture the entire environment at once, they often have to deal with extreme contrast - like a bright sky and a dark forest floor in the same frame. If the lighting looks off, the Media Tab is your dedicated darkroom for quick, professional enhancements. 3) Export

4) Upload to Youtube
Once the render is finished, upload the file directly to YouTube. You don't need any external "metadata injectors" anymore - YouTube automatically detects the 360-spatial data from Insta360 Studio and will process it for the VR player.
